i want to play but i have a squash racket but i have a tennis ball …
would the ball like ruin my racket..or do some damage on it??
The tennis ball is too heavy for a squash racket.
You’ll probably hurt your arm before you hurt the racket though.

can you use a tennis ball with a squash racket?
Why don’t women kick rapist in the nuts?
I hear about all these rape cases, and I am wondering, well why didn’t you kick him in the nuts, then that would take the attacker out, and I’m sure he would not have any desire for sex after his nuts get squashed, i know i wouldn’t.
I am giving my girlfriend nut kicking lessons just in case she ever gets attacked and I’m not there.
Yeah good points.
Nice simple thought for defence but actually it isnt as simple as that.
Men normally attack women from behind and unless you are extremely double jointed its impossible to do what you suggest.
There is often a weapon of some sort involved – and the concentration is on that rather than aiming a good kick at the gonads.
Fear is often a paralysing thing too.
Be far better to poke the eye or hit under the chin and upwards.
But then that would antagonise them further and if you ran and didnt get away in time then it would make the whole thing a lot worse.
Dont think there is any ideal answer to this.
What is the sport (American I think) where players are in a big (Squash like) court, wearing big scoops on arm?
They throw the ball out of these scoops on their arms and the other team has to catch it!
It was in an episode of Miami Vice once I think!
Is this a real game or fictional?
It’s called jai lai, and it’s pretty popular in other cultures.
Why is squash not in the olympics?
And why is football and tennis IN the olympics.
Surley if the olympic gold is not the biggest medal in that sport then it should not be in the olympics, e.g tennis-wimbledon, football-world cup, champions league
A certain percentage of Olympic participating countries need to have national associations affiliated with the Olympics to start with, then it’s put to a vote by the Olympic board members, so it’s difficult for some sports whose strength lies in a few countries to get in to the schedule.
Go to page 86..it’s pdf and it’s the official Olympics rules and regs..your answer is here.

I have Squash seeds sprouting close together in a small container. When/how should I move to larger spot?
The seeds were originally plucked out of a Delicata Squash a few weeks back, dumped as a cluster into a smallish pot and watered regularly. Now, there are at least 6-8 green sprouts breaking the surface – a couple reaching about 2-inches high so far. Just curious about how to extract them carefully to re-plant and space apart better and when I should do so.
I’m in California, fyi.
They aren’t going to grow, unless you’re in maybe south Florida ot south Texas or So Cal. It’s winter. Too cold., ot enough sun.
However, the correct thing to do is to thin the plants to maybe three and don’t try to save any. Just pinch the babys and leave the rest. It damages the baby roots and sets teh plnat back. not worth it. Plant the entire hill in one bunch.

What is the best type of squash racket and how do you tell whats good and whats not?
Speak to different players and you will get different answers. Racket manufacturers such as:-
Prince
Head
Karakal
Technifibre
Dunlop
Browning
all make ‘good’ racquet’s but it’s a question of going to a shop and picking them up to see which feels right in your hand. Probably the best place to go is your local squash club which will almost certainly have a club shop and someone knowledgeable who can give you advice. They may also have some demo rackets. However, the cheapest place to buy is almost always on the ‘net.
If you are just starting i would recommend spending about £25 – £30 which should get you something decent to get started. If you’re comfortable with the brand that you have chosen you can then go up the range and spend as much as you can afford.
I personally use Prince and have had 3 TT Sovereigns which you can now buy on e-bay for about £50 however, the technology is getting quite old so I’ll probably spend a bit more on my next one and go for one of the Prince O3 range £70 – £100. The O3 range is hugely popular at the moment.
Apart from the feel of the racket it’s also important to buy the right weight of racket. Most players will use a racket weighing approximately 135 – 160 grammes but you can buy lighter and heavier.
Good luck.
Does he like me?
He’s a boy from school and one of my closest mates fancies him. The time she told us was at lunch, the next lesson I had would be with him. It was a sort of special thing cause only those who were really good at french ent. The teachers told us to move the tables, where eva i went he followed. My friend asked a question to the teacher he replied her rudely (the boy) I gave him a dirty look. Then when we had to put the tables back he still followed me. The next day I was going through a door he delibrately wentthrough it at the same time so we would both squash together and in all my lessons my friends have noticed that he always looks at me. so, what does this mean? I don’t like him, he’s all snobby and not the person for me, but what should I do?
Wow big situation. The only advice I can give is that if you’re really sure that he likes you, go up to him and say that you don’t like him and say sorry if you have been giving hnts that you do, cause it seems like that to me

How long before a butternut squash goes bad?
I have had this butternut squash sitting on my counter for, I don’t how long. Its still hard and doesn’t show any signs of going bad on the outside but I would hate to cut it open and have it stink up my kitchen. Does anyone know how long butternut squash are good for?
What are some signs to look for if it is going bad?
if kept in a cool dry place, they will keep all winter. that is why they have that hard dry surface. Do not drop or bruise your squash but do check regularly so if it does start to get soft, you can go ahead and use it before it goes bad.

Difference between Tennis and Squash Racket?
Whats the difference between a tennis and a squash racket? Is there much difference if any? Could you reasonably get away with playing tennis with a squash racket for a considerable period of time without fear of it breaking? Or perhaps even permanently? Is a tennis racket much more expensive than a squash racket?
Squash racquets are about 70 cm long, with a maximum strung area of 500 square centimetres (approximately 80 square inches) and weigh between 110 and 200 grams (4-7 ounces).
Tennis racquets vary in length, weight, and head size. 21" to 26" is normally a junior’s length, while 27" or 27.5" are for stronger and taller adult players. Weights of a racquet also vary between 9 ounces unstrung and 12.5 ounces unstrung. Head size also plays a role in a racquet’s qualities. A larger head size generally means more power, and a larger "sweet spot" that is more forgiving on off-center hits. A smaller head size offers more precise control. Head sizes of recent racquets vary between 85 sq. inches and 137 sq. inches.
A squash racquet is more of a square-ish oval, while a tennis racquet is entirely round.
Is it better to live with my parents so my kids can have the advantages of stability and more time with me?
I have been living with my parents for the last four years. This enables me to afford karate, ballet and music lessons for my kids. It also allows me to spend more time with them than if I had to work and pay rent. I pay for all their clothes, food, lessons, etc. Their dad lives across the country and sporadically pays child support. I am going nuts though, living with my parents is squashing any sense of self worht that I used to have. I feel sellfish to think of moving out, but when I think of staying here much longer I think I may lose it. I was wondering if anyone else out there is in a similar situation, or just has an opinion of what I should do.
I’m not against family living together as long as it’s healthy and fair. I don’t think it’s all that fair for your parents to have you and your children living under their roof without you paying. Sure you buy the food, clothes and other such things but what about the heating, electric, water, and trash removal bill, all of which would be cheaper if it was just the two of them.
Also, do your parents let you stay there because they actually want you to live there or are they just trying to help you get back up on your feet, which you clearly haven’t done? If so, then it’s not good to stay there because you are now an unwanted house guest, which causes tension for everyone.
Not only this but living in your parent’s home means that you pretty much have to do things their way. If you want to have people over I would imagine that you would need permission and really who wants to be asking their parents if they can do something when they are an adult. You also mentioned that it’s squashing your self worth, which isn’t good for your children to have to see…….they learn from you, remember that.
I suggest you get a job, move into your own apartment and have your children choose one activity that they love the most. It’s more important that they see their mom feeling confident and independent than a couple of karate, ballet or music lessons.

When to pick yellow squash from the garden?
I recently got some yellow squash from a friend who has a garden. It is very large, very yellow, almost orange and has bumps on it. Doesn’t seem small slick and yellow like the sore bought, seems like it is over mature. Will it still cook the same. I love making fried squash and baked squash casserole…just wondering if this squash will taste good if it is over mature?
please help settle this..some say it will taste better others say it will not.
It is over-ripe. You can still fry it but it will not taste as good or have the same tender taste. I pick our squash when it is still small to medium & has the slick feel to it. The young squash is a lot more tender. If you have large over-ripe squash then you may want to remove the seeds instead of just slicing it like you would if it was smaller. If it is too tough to peel then you may want to just toss it.
What is the lightest squash racket in the world?

which sport is easier to take up?
squash or crew? im going to prep school this fall and wanted to do a different sport, its required. I know you cant automatically be good at something but I want to take lessons.
Squash is easier. I did crew and it involves alot of physical training and timing. Plus, practice is always early in the morning. Hope this helps….
Why is squash considered a snobby sport?
I’ve been playing squash since I was 11. It’s an extremely fast-paced sport requiring a lot of skill. What I’ve never understood is why squash is oten equated with snobbery in American popular culture. Frasier and his snooty brother played squash. Woody Allen’s Manhattan friends play. Michael Douglass played squash in Wall Street. In Fracture, the DA tells the main character that he won’t fit into the corporate law firm he’s joining because "those guys play squash". And whenever they actually show the characters playing, they look like they’re dressed for cricket and clearly have no technique whatsoever.
When you look at the top squash players in the world, they are just down to earth people from UK, Australia, Egypt, Malaysia and other commonwealth countries. For many years, the game was dominated by Pakistani players from extremely poor backgrounds. How then do Americans figure that it’s a rich person’s game?
This is a great question. I’m from the U.S. and played on my high school and college teams in the ’80′s. I think the short answer is that in the rest of the world, I’m not sure squash is considered much different from badminton or table tennis or snooker. I’ve played in the UK with regular guys who kept a pint outside the court to freshen up between games.
In the US historically I think it’s a different story. Squash mostly became a game played in prep schools and Ivy League colleges and private clubs, and has been for most of its history centered in Boston, New York, and Philadelphia, as well as DC (where I played after college). Until the 1990′s, the game was different in North America than in the rest of the world: the ball was harder, the court smaller, and the scoring differernt. This North American "hardball" game didn’t mix the the international "softball" game. But after the international game took over, the game may have lost some of its American whiteness.
Still, I don’t think it’s spread too far into the general public, and is mostly an upper middle class game for Americans as well as for the kinds of educated non-Americans who come here to work in academia and professional jobs.
It’s a pity if that’s true, because it’s a beautiful game more people should know about.
Hope that helps.
Current world champion which contry does he/she belongs to? Difference between Badminton,Squash&Tennis?
I’m not sure whether u’re asking about World Champions for all 3 sports, but I know of only two. Squash – Jonathan Power: Canadian (I think), Tennis – Roger Federer: Swiss. I think the Badminton champion is from Asia-Pacific.
Squash is something like Racquet ball, but played indoors. You hit the ball against a front wall. Either straight, via the side walls or the back walls. The ball is small and less bouncy than a Tennis ball. To score in the game is to beat the ball well enough to have ur opponent miss the ball completely or after the second bounce against the floor.
Badminton is an indoor sport, where you have a net between 2-4 players. Something like a volleyball net but only lower. Rackets are thin and light and you play with a shuttlecock. It’s nothing like a ball but something like a feathered weighted cork at the front. You score when your opponent hits the net or hits the shuttle outside the marked court lines or miss the shot. Serve changes when you lose a point and you only get a point on your own serve.

What is the difference between squash and zuccini?
What is the difference between squash and zuccini?
Are they the same? or any difference in color or flavor? And what is "zuccini squash"?
The difference is actually between summer squash and winter squash. Zucchini and yellow squash are the most prevalent summer squashes and look and taste very similar-only the color differs.
Winter squash comes in many varieties such as butternut, acorn, hubbard and pumpkin. These squashes have a tough skin and take longer to cook.
All squash is tasty and nutritious.

What is that plastic thing on my Squash Racket?

what ball do proffesional squash players use slow? medium?or fast?
i do not know whether squash players use different balls for practice or competion
I believe that people at the top of their game may even use very slow (double yellow spot) as you have to really hit them to get them moving, and they can take a lot of thrashing. Me and an old squash partner used them regularly and always found they gave us the best, most competetive and most exhausting game.
I would recommend starting out with a fast ball if you’re a beginner then working up through medium to the slowest ball.
I imagine professionals have personal favourites and my well use different speed balls for practice and competition, but I’d say the slower the ball, the better you have to be to play with it.
I’m quite a novice with squash, and I was hoping I cuold get a tip or two on how to beat the other begginers.
I am the youngest in the begginners class and everybody else beats me. I really want to be on the school squash team this year to impress my dad, who is a champion.
You are welcome to Squash court as a begginer.
The steps you need to take to beat fellow beginners as you said are as follows:
1. You need to do a lot of exercise on your body at any GYM house of your choice.
2. You learn about how to move your hands, legs and the racquet, especially at the "T junction in the court.
3. If you are playing with those that are short, heat the ball forward so that your opponent will be running after the ball.
4. If you are playing with people who are very tall, always watch them and drop the ball behind them.
In Egypt , what is the most favorite sport?
People are crazy about foot ball. I hate it when there are matches and the neighbors are screaming like crazy!
Others I know like tennis and claim they used to run 100 metres in less than 10 seconds!
how long does a squash plant take to produce after it flowers?
I have never had a garden before and I’m excited to eat out of it. After my squash starts to bloom how long before i get squash?
When the flower starts to dry up the squash will start growing, depending on how much you water usually 5-10 days

Where can I find a decent cheap squash racket?
I’ve just started playing squash. I love it and I’m quite serious about taking it up. I think now is the right time to buy a racket. Can you recommend where I can find a good qulaity one at a low price? Thanks in advance x

I always get my rackets from JJB Sports. You can pick up some really good ones for as little as £25.00 (they are usually discounted from a much higher price, so you can pick up a bargain!).
Enjoy your games!
