Not very effectively. The weight of the ball will cause you more problems, then it is worth. Get a tennis racket for tennis.
I am either doing Tennis or Crew, These are the pros and cons
Tennis-
8 Years Experience
Advanced level For age
Own all equipment
I know the coach well
I play squash and it ruins Tennis Game
Teenis is Getting Boring
Lesson Are Expensive
Crew-
Looks Fun
Looks GREAT on your record for College
Friends are doing it
School is top in state
Coed Sport (I’m at a Boy’s School)
I have ZERO Experience and neither does anybody else
I don’t know the coach
Goes to 6 PM and Tennis goes to 5:30 PM
Please Help: Feel free to Elaborate
Unless you really love tennis and have a desire to do it at the college level, this sounds like a great opportunity to try crew. If not now, then you probably won’t ever get a chance to try it. Once you’re in college, everyone doing crew will have experience (especially if your college has a competitive crew team), and you’ll go, "Damn, I wish I had done it in high school." And, it seems like you’re getting bored with tennis, so tennis sounds like your safety net more than what you really want to do. You lose nothing if you try crew and don’t like it, but if you don’t try it, you’ll never know what you might have missed. Good luck!
Hi,
I’m going to start playing squash. Do you think running shoes are good for the game? I’m thinking about them:
http://www.sportsdirect.com/fila-venice-senior-128006
so could be good for squash and running.
Any comments/advice from squash players recommended
Thanks
I wouldnt recommend using the same shoe for running and for squash.
For squash, you would require shoes that has a rubber sole, just like in badminton. You can get it rather cheap in departmental stores.
For running, its better to just use running shoe and not use squash shoes for running. Coz the shoe would be worn out easily.
If you want to cut cost, a pair of shoes with rubber sole would be fine for running and squash. But never use running shoe for squash.
Anyway, Enjoy your game!
Pelosi proved to be a great champion for President Obama during the primaries and on through the election. She helped squash any chance Hillary had at making a comeback. She was really lock-step with the media. Now that the same media is not letting Pelosi off the hook for her lies. The white house says they have confidence in Pelosi, but recent events don’t look to confirm that.
Barry has been silent about Pelosi. He has to be. she’s toxic to anything/anyone that she touches.

A family of three tomatoes were walking downtown one day when the little baby tomato started lagging behind. The big father tomato walks back to the baby tomato, stomps on her, squashing her into a red paste, and says, "Ketchup!"
come on guys add your jokes
Funny, but honestly a bit disturbing to see your name under that avatar!
Edit:
OK, here are a couple!
Dear Friday,
When I was walking in the lady first yesterday, I saw a piece of religion of a girl, she was egg and sweet. I said "Ya earth keep what is on you. A hundred evenings on your eyes ya beautiful." She said "Poison!" I said "Poison from your hand is poisonpoison ya moon." She shouted in me "Yes, yes, your mother’s soul. Do you remember me one of them? Collect yourself or I’ll collect the street on you ya Omar." The girl entered my brain. I said "your right on me. It shows on you: you are a daughter of people. I want you on the book of God and his prophet. The boon on me, I’ll write my book on you tonight. " She laughed and said "On your slow, on your slow, write the book one piece? Not talk on me first?" I shouted "I die in the cream, ya thousand white mornings, I’m going to talk on you right now."

A Japanese tourist hailed a taxi in downtown Cairo and asked to be taken to the Airport.
On the way, a car zoomed by and the tourist responded, "Ohhh! TOYOTA!! Made in Japan!! Very fast!"
Not too long afterward, another car flew by the taxi.
"Ohh! NISSAN!! Made in Japan!! Very fast!"
Yet another car zipped by, and the tourist said, "Ohh! Mitsubishi!! Made in Japan!! Very fast!"
The taxi driver was starting to get a little miffed that the Japanese made cars were passing his Fiat, when yet another car passed the taxi as they were turning into the airport.
"Ohh! Honda!! Made in Japan!! Very fast!"
The taxi driver stopped the car, pointed to the meter, and said, "That’ll be LE 250."
"LE 250? It was so short a ride! Why so much?"
"Taxi meter. Made in Egypt. Very fast."
I LOVE acorn squash, and recently came across a recipe for Butternut Squash Ravioli… I have never had butternut squash before. I am wondering if there is much of a taste difference between the 2 and if I can use acorn squash instead of butternut squash..
You can use either one. I have used both to make Ravioli. Most people wont even be able to tell the difference.

NOT in top ten percent of class… unfortunately
so what are my chances? also looking at northwestern, tufts, dartmouth….
well, actually my older sister wasn’t in the top 10 percent in her high school, and she’s a sophomore at brown
and no, she did not transfer, so you are wrong. oh, and sorry i forgot the other sat!! it was 720. i have a kick ass essay as well.
Keep in mind that Cornell is an Ivy League school, and since you haven’t given us a lot of the critical information, I have to assume that you are not including your weak points. Is your GPA an unweighted or weighted one? If it is unweighted, then maybe. If weighted, probably not. Also, you have only given us two parts of the SAT, including the least critical. What about the third part of the SAT I?
The most critical information to me is that you say you aren’t in the top 10% of your class. Unless you are at a top prep school, that would generally mean that you could not get into an Ivy League (or other top) school. You are obviously a decent student and you have a lot of extracurricular activities, so you can get into a good university, but perhaps you need something a little less exclusive.
Obviously besides tennis, squash, and racquet ball pros. Somebody below asked about the tennis skills of NFL players and it got me to thinking about the overall question of which sports people are also good or great at tennis.
My vote would be ice hockey players. I know Rob Brindamour is a terrific tennis player. Also baseball infielders. I’ve heard that Mike Schmidt is a great tennis player, although he prefers golf now.
Of course NFL players are great athletes, but I wonder if their size slows them down on a tennis court?
I would say soccer players. A lot of the athletic attributes required are the same. They are extremely fit and not overly muscled, and usually tend to be a similar size to tennis players.
Size can help in tennis, but not when taken to extremes. NFL stars would be too heavily built to be flexible. Sure they can run quickly, but the sudden directional changes in tennis would be tough for them. Not to mention that you need loose muscles to hit a tennis ball hard, not bulging biceps. Basketball players are tall enough to potentially hit good serves, but the height would really be a huge hindrance to movement. There are very few exceptionally tall tennis stars who have had much success, and most have been prone to injuries as well. Although tennis is not a contact sport, it is very hard on joints. Too much height or bulk is usually not a good thing.
Leaping Lanny Poffo was one of the first acrobatic wrestlers in the World Wrestling Federation in the mid-1980′s. He is the brother of former World Wrestling Federation Champion, Randy "Macho Man" Savage. On an otherwise dull Saturday morning show that had nothing but squash matches, Leaping Lanny (and Piper’s Pit) made the show watchable. It looked like at one time the team of Lanny Poffo and George Wells was bound to be tag-team champions, then things fizzled. Lanny Poffo would team with a jobber, and the jobber would get pinned. Later Lanny Poffo would get pinned. He did surface with "The Genius" gimmick, but he lost his matches. Who got mad at him, or how did he fall from grace such that he never gained the notariety he deserved?
I had read somewhere that he did not want to change the "Leaping" part of his wrestling for some other gimick and change of style. He was a main draw in the Birmingham area in the 70′s and 80′s.
I got a bunch of butternut squash at the Farmer’s Market and I don’t want it to go bad. I want to freeze it for future use but not sure what is the best way. Should I roast it and cube it first or just cut them in half and freeze them to thaw out and roast later? Any recipies or uses would be appreciated as well as I have never cooked with butternut squash before.
Place the squash on shelves or screens so air can circulate around them and store in a dry, dark, well-ventilated, cool place (50 to 55°F) place. Do not store uncooked winter squash in the refrigerator or in an area where the temperature may drop below 41°F. Below 40 degrees will cause chilling injury to the squash and alter flavor and texture. Stored properly, winter squash will keep 2 to 6 months depending on variety, at room temperature they should keep for at least 2 to 3 weeks. Check them on a regular basis, turning occasionally, and look for any signs of deterioration. Don’t store squashes near onions, potatoes, apples or pears which give off ethylene gas and spoil the squash.
Refrigerate cooked squash after tightly wrapping the cut pieces in plastic wrap and use within five days. Cooked pieces, mashed or pureed squash can by portioned out and packed into freezer bags with the air removed, and stored in the freezer for later use.

I am an intermediate squash player but have only ever used a very basic racket. I would like to buy a good quality racket (£80 or more) on sale for around £40. I have found the Dunlop Black Max Titanium 2009 on sale from £120 down to £36 on http://www.pdhsports.com/products/Dunlop-Black-Max-Titanium-Squash-Racket
I have also found the Wilson Hyper Hammer 120 on sale from the same price down to £38 at http://www.pdhsports.com/products/Wilson-Hyper-Hammer-120-Squash-Racket
Do these look like decent rackets and would anyone recommend any others?
Thanks

I’m looking for a good answer for this to retort back to the high and holier than though squash players.
I much prefer racquetball. It is faster paced and just a little more dangerous. Squash players are wimps.
Well I met Susan Devoy who used to be NZ’s Squash World Champion at primary school where I got to play a game of squash with her and I met Dave Prowse who is severly underrated as being the man in Darth Vader’s suit in the old trilogy.
He was really nice and he played one of the henchmen/thugs in A Clockwork Orange.
I met the Dalai Lama, many years ago, when he visited my hometown, São Paulo, Brazil. It was just a quick hello and a handshaking, but it was really nice.
