I can’t say I love it, because I don’t feel like it is home. And home is where I’m loved. We’re not loved, appreciated, respected or welcomed in our country. No real freedom, no international charisma, we’re hated from everyone, we only cheer for Egypt in sports. Everyday disasters happen and we don’t care, but people got depressed since we were disqualified. I can’t say I love it, I also can’t say I can. I don’t know really what to say or feel anymore about this country. I am 17 years old and I am in engineering college, I am disappointed at everything I am seeing there, I am disappointed at everything I saw before it. I am disappointed at this whole country and I feel betrayed. I don’t feel "Home", I just don’t. I tell myself its normal, you shouldn’t be all pro-nationalism, it is religion what matters, you can’t even practice it well here…… Tell me your answer and reason for it..
If loving my country is like loving a girl, I’d be ashamed to be an Egyptian….
I love many aspects of Egypt! First, the Egyptian Arabic has a soft, musical sound. The people are very diverse and very flexible. No charisma?? Think again! Nothing is more interesting than the history of Egypt, much of which lives today. If you don’t agree with your government, live to try to make changes, but remember to embrace your culture and know everything you can about your country. It has a rich past and most people I know would love to go there.
So if your family was dirt poor, got evicted from your house, your bro got caught stealing from a house, you’d go change your last name or give yourself for adoption to a rich family?
Same thing
If you love your country, you love it through thick or thin. It’s like being in love with a girl, you care for her and always have her in your heart, you fight and you make up but you’ll always love her no matter what situations you’re in.
If you don’t love your country that’s a dam shame for you, not for Egypt.

ESD gave you the correct answer. Do you actually love your country because it’s rich or powerful or what not if so then try and have a visa to america and become an american citizen then!!! but believe me you will never feel like you are "home" except in the country that won’t ask you much for staying in it,who won’t ask from you miraculous stuff to give you it’s nationality or residence.
Listen you are still quite young and fresh, but believe me when you grow up older you will be more mature and will take a look at life from different angle.

Ofcourse I love it!………Thats why we should work together and fix it, we shouldn’t just sit there and complain.
Despite all the problems you should love it regardless. Everything has its disadvantages and like ESD said it doesn’t mean you should hate it……..
Love is unconditional.

i been in different places in the world, also in arab countries, we are not really hated by everyone, but it’s more about the minority always face problems in any country by ignorant people, so i hope Egyptians stop repeating this so people don’t believe it. 2nd, you will find at the end that your real identity is Islam not race or blood. prophet Muhamamd was an Arab and he went against the Arab. if you find yourself that you can’t love your country, then love Allah instead for him you belong and to him you are returning back. we love the goodness in our country and we dislike the injustice and the bad things. when Allah divided people, he classify some people with the name "anbeya2" mean prophets, so you will see that prophets are similar in thier attitude even though they are from different countries, also believers are similar in their attitude even if they are from different countries, also el Munafikeen are similar with their behavior. so let Islam be your real identity.

But I love Egypt more and I would rather be there any time. I love my country. Even though Im like more American in a way since ive lived here since i was born and ya. But to me Egypt is the best thing in this whole entire world. I never criticize the US ever, why? Because I really don’t care, I do criticize Egypt b/c I love it mmore. I know weird thinking haha, but ya.

The only advice I’m gonna give to you is : Although it sucks you can still be a great person it doesn’t matter where you live try to become the best person you can giving the bad circumstances … and NEVER ever say anything bad about your country if front of others (especially foreigners) even if you think you hate egypt it ( sends a bad message about you as well as ALL egyptians )

in my eyes?though i’ve never been to ur country?Egypt is a beautiful and a great country in its civilization. from many Egyptians that i’ve known well, i see the nicety, benevolence, respect and a very nationalism in theirs. whenever i communicate with ‘em or other egy, i feel comfort and cared. so i can say that i love Egypt
to ur problem, i think it’s normal, everyone ever feel the same thing…
i live in Indonesia which these years has lots of problem! there have been disasters (such as earthquake n tsunami in Sumatra), political and economy unrest, human rights threats. thats all make people get sick n depressed, including me… and as a teenager (im 17 too!) sometimes i feel dissapointed with the things that i’ve got, uncared by friends or family, all troughout my live. sometimes im deeming it must be cool and better to live in the ‘first world countries’ and blah… otherwise foreigns say that my country is hospitable, fascinating, rich and stuff… so i realise that i have to thank to God,
whatever or wherever it goes, it’s always be my country, MY HOME all the way!
so, did you get what i mean?
nb: i love you buddy, live a life of ease! ^^
