This kinda came up when my cozs and I discussed sports and politics last night, would you marry someone who isn’t patriotic?or keeps bashing this country?
Honestly, in my humble opinion, loving your country is loving your faith, if one of em is missing, the other one is too. What kinda example would that set for your kids to come?
omg noo..no matter how bad the government is or how bad the pollution or ANYTHING…loving your country and appreciating it for all that it is is and all it has given to you is so important,
i’de never marry anyone who bashes it, :S i wouldn’t marry anyone who bashes any country honestly…but saying bad stuff about your own country is really bad….especially cause my parents instilled in me how important it is to love my roots and where i come from..and i do <3 , so i know how important it is for me to pass that on to my kids in the future isa..

No. Patriotism a big deal to me and well, it’s one thing to be lackin that pride and sense of belonging but once you start constantly bashing this country and abhorring it it’ll be peace out on your a55. I already pity ppl who’ve got the whole shunning-down-on-Egypt mentality goin on and feel ashamed of it like nah, keep it to yourself at least. Not "el balad de bent kalb w 3ayza el 7ar2" every 5 secs. That’s like prolly the most impractical way to express concern. And in terms of kids, that’s even more of a reason to dis-consider being with someone like that, the kid would be exposed to two diff. identity-issue outlooks growing up, who’s he supposed to look up to? what’ll he take pride in? And this isn’t a lil friendship we’re talking about here, it’s the person you’ll be spending the rest of your life with and I’d hate to be living it with someone like that. If they can’t stand their own country and find satisfaction through bashing it and demeaning someone’s "national loyalty", chances are they’ll be mocking other aspects and values that are meaningful to me too..
