SQUASH is WAR

To honor the greatest sport of all time and to honor the wonderfully skillful players who play it. I dedicate this clip in the name of all the past, present and future champions of this sport. They’ve all been an inspiration and though they never get their fair due, I would just like to say Thank you to all of them & this is a small tribute from me to them. My first ever attempt at video-editing so hopefully u guys won’t hold it too much against me. Best wishes to all, be safe n live well, play squash…

People say, an hour of squash equals 2 hours of tennis. People also say that if you can play squash & your good at it, then you can play tennis and badminton. That hypothosis is COMPLEATLY UNTRUE!!! Im in the advanced squash training thing at my state squash gym thing & i tried out tennis, IT IS THE HARDEST GAME EVER!! But badminton is easy..

    As a long time …
As a long time tennis player I almost immediately was at recreative play entry level when I played my first squash game. I could win against hard hitters, but of course easily lost to strategic players since I didnt know jack about squash tactics hehe. Squash players will not have such an easy time when they start to play tennis. Takes a while before you are at recreative level. Mastering squash or tennis however is completely different. It requires just as much training for both sports.

    I agree about …
I agree about squash being much easier to immediately play than tennis. Tennis is difficult for beginners to be able to keep ball in play. Overall tennis is more complicated in terms of overall shots to be mastered, while squash is more strategic. There are more subtleties in squash than tennis too. In my city, squash has been promoted awfully. Only 9 squash courts played by the wealthy; contrast to over 600 tennis courts. Squash needs to shown to the masses.

  22. mrbobevans says:

    I think it is …
I think it is better to not have a tennis background if you want to get really be good in squash. The tennis background will lead to bad habits when trying to execute the proper squash shots. Take for instance table tennis (ping pong), tennis players do OK up to a certain point, then get their kicked by true table tennis players. Same with badminton for tennis players. Bottom line, each game is unique.

it depends, if you play squash after having a good basis in tennis then you will get reasonable/good standard fairly fast, but starting from scratch with raquet sports it will be more challenging. then again i have friends who have gone from playin loads of squash to tennis and really struggle, the movement is generally ok but its the shots they can’t handle
