At the moment Nick Matthew and Ramy Ashour are in a league of their own, i think they will be switching between the top 1 and 2 over the next few years.

    don’t forget the …
don’t forget the golden oldies such as shabana, palmer and thierry lincou. they will be around for a couple of more years.all still capable of beating anyone. i know ramy has great difficulty beating thierry because of his style.long live the kings of squash.

  5. abdiver12 says:

    Well, Ramy is …
Well, Ramy is definitely brilliant but his durability is still in question. He’s had quite a few injuries for his young age so it remains to be seen whether he can maintain this level of play for years on end like Jahangir. The parity among the top 5 will make things tougher too. Matthew, Gaultier, Darwish, and Willstrop aren’t going anywhere for a while!

  6. bobski2601 says:

    yes he finally made …
yes he finally made no1 but not for long though. great prediction.the top ten are so close it’s so tight between them all abdiver12.ramy’s the possably gunna be the man to beat over the next 8 to 10 years.

Would you say that Illingworth can be top ten? On all the videos I have seen on him, he always seems to be chasing the ball around and hardly ever on offense. He does try a lot.

    You are so correct. …
You are so correct. Squash needs to focus on getting its game in the public parks system. In my hometown of Louisville, KY USA, only the rich preppies play the game. If the game were to get in the public parks, it would explode.

    Squash will not be …
Squash will not be a part of the 2016 Olympics. That is so frustrating. I think squash should from now on focus on keeping improving the sport and marketing it without heeding the IOC and without throwing money away on trying to get in the Olympics. Golf and rugby… I can’t believe it!
