NOT in top ten percent of class… unfortunately
well, actually my older sister wasn’t in the top 10 percent in her high school, and she’s a sophomore at brown
Keep in mind that Cornell is an Ivy League school, and since you haven’t given us a lot of the critical information, I have to assume that you are not including your weak points. Is your GPA an unweighted or weighted one? If it is unweighted, then maybe. If weighted, probably not. Also, you have only given us two parts of the SAT, including the least critical. What about the third part of the SAT I?
The most critical information to me is that you say you aren’t in the top 10% of your class. Unless you are at a top prep school, that would generally mean that you could not get into an Ivy League (or other top) school. You are obviously a decent student and you have a lot of extracurricular activities, so you can get into a good university, but perhaps you need something a little less exclusive.
A lot of the college admissions process is luck. You sound more than qualified, and I would probably admit you, but don’t forget that there are quite a few applicants that look just as good as you do. However, I would say you have just as good a chance as anyone else! Good luck!
