I am going to enter junior year at a top high school in NYC
as of now i have a gpa of a 3.6
I received a 730 on my bio sat II
I am a competitive squash player (top 50 in the country)
I am the captain of my school tennis team
I am on the debate team, science research team (I plan to enter the NYC science far this upcoming year)
Your chances are going to be slim no matter what because of the simple fact that only 18 percent of their applicant are accpeted but you do have a chance. First you need to get your GPA up to about a 3.8+. Also if you have not started to already, you need to take the most challenging courses at your school. Also you need to try to get into the top 10 percent of your class. Also your ACT and SAT scores need to be high, i suggest you take both the SAT and ACT as some do better on the ACT. Here’s some of the averages for the middle 50 percent of accpeted students
SAT:
Critical Reading Middle 50%:670 – 760
Math Middle 50%:670 – 760
ACT:

ACT Middle 50%:29 – 33
Students in Top Tenth of HS Class:89%
Students in Top Quarter of HS Class:100%
Your extracirriculars are great and colleges will love the factg that you are in leadership positions. Right now I’ll give you about a 30 percent chance to get in, but if you can raise your GPA you can probably be at a 50 percent chance. I suggest you apply to it as a reach but do not expect or rely on getting in there. Good luck!
