Why do tennis players drink orange squash and eat bananas during a match?

At least I think it’s orange squash.


The drinks are probably isotonic drinks, that rehydrate the body and they do come in several flavours. Bananas are a source of enegry, provided you eat it sparingly and not gobble 2 or 3 in one go!

    Bannanas contain lots of energy and for orange squash i have no idea ( maybe its like an energy drink or something )

    it’s not actually Orange squash, it’s more an energy drink that looks orange. Thereby answers the 2nd part of the question, bananas are a slow release energy/vitamin food, which helps sportsmen through difficult stages of events
