What is the difference between squash and zuccini?

What is the difference between squash and zuccini?
Are they the same? or any difference in color or flavor? And what is "zuccini squash"?

The difference is actually between summer squash and winter squash. Zucchini and yellow squash are the most prevalent summer squashes and look and taste very similar-only the color differs.
Winter squash comes in many varieties such as butternut, acorn, hubbard and pumpkin. These squashes have a tough skin and take longer to cook.
All squash is tasty and nutritious.

There are summer squash that are soft on the outside and winter squash, which are hard on the outside.
Summer Squash: Flying Saucer (shaped likethat), Yellow Crookneck, Zuccinni, Italian and others that you can grow yourself.
Winter: Pumpkin, Butternut, Acorn, Banana and there are oodles more.
You can steam the summer squashes. You have to bake the winter variety because the skin is so thick it takes too much time to peel.
